PPAI Expo, one of the world’s largest promotional trade shows, took place in Las Vegas between 11th and the 15th January, with an attendance of over 20,000 visitors.
With many BPMA members visiting the PPAI Expo trade show this year, Director General of the BPMA, Gordon Glenister spoke at the very popular Education Day which proceeded the show. The subject matter was Think Big Sell Global – an effort to support networks by connecting promotional gift distributors and suppliers globally.
Arcadia’s director Steve Barnes commented, “We have already connected with 9 US companies as a result of Gordon’s talk.” Glenister also joined the IFPPA (International Federation of Promotional Products Association) meeting in Las Vegas in an effort to work closer with international associations including PPS in Canada, Australasian Promotional Products Association, AMPRO (Mexican Promotional Products Association) and PPAI. Commenting Glenister added, “It’s very important for the BPMA to able to support our members internationally and to promote excellence and best practice the world over.”
The BPMA are also building partnerships with the European Promotional Products Association (EPPA) and have held very productive meetings on a future stronger organisation.
Make Memorable Merchandise
Having worked in Promotional Merchandise for the last 25 years I have been exposed to all aspects of the industry. Starting out as an account manager working with some of the worlds leading brands, I have learnt to understand the needs of a client, manufacturing processes, and what it takes to deliver a successful promotional campaign that is on brand, on time and within a given budget.
