Promotional Travel Mugs Help the Environment

There’s been lots in the media lately about disposable coffee cups. Though frequently perceived as recyclable, most aren’t owing to the waterproof plastic liner, which makes them unsuitable for all but a few recycling plants. Around 2.5 billion coffee cups are thrown away in the UK each year, getting incinerated or dumped into landfill.

Leading the way, Waitrose the supermarket chain have announced they will stop using disposable coffee cups in stores and predict it will  save 52 million cups a year. Card holder members will be able to fill up on free tea or coffee from instore self -service machines, but will need to use their own reusable cup.
