Lost pens could be a thing of the past since iconic pen maker Cross created its trackable pen.

The fine writing instrument brand got its head together with TrackR to come up with Cross Peerless TrackR, which it’s hoped will spell an end to the frustration associated with misplacing treasured pens.

Paired with an app and using Bluetooth and Crowd Locate technology the pen keeps people in touch with their faithful writing tools while they’re on the move.

So if a pen falls from a pocket or is left, say, in a meeting on the other side of the world or in an airport lounge, the device can alert the owner to its last known location using the TrackR app.

When the pen’s Bluetooth connection is disconnected from its paired mobile phone, TrackR’s Crowd Locate community will automatically start searching for it. If one of the millions of TrackR app users walks past a missing pen while running the app, the person who’s lost the item will receive a confidential update with the pen’s last known location.

The pen can even help people find misplaced mobile phones. Following a simple button press on the cap, it can alert people to their phone’s whereabouts, even when in silent mode.

Available in carbon black and quartz blue, the Peerless TrackR boasts the latest Bluetooth technology and is powered by two replaceable CR1220 batteries.
