Balloons are perfect for showcasing a business brand – they’re inexpensive and suited to promoting all types of products and services, especially those for children.

Made mostly from natural rubber latex, a sustainable product, promotional balloons can be filled with air, helium, water or any other suitable liquid or gas.

First, decide whether you want to fill your balloons with air or helium. Filled with helium, latex balloons typically retain buoyancy for a few days; up to a week if filled with air. More pricey shiny foil balloons that originated in the 1970s, often known as Mylar balloons, can stay buoyant for several weeks.

At promotional events it’s best to inflate helium balloons (especially latex ones) on the day to ensure they’re at their best. Balloon sticks are advisable, if handing out air-filled balloons. Balloon display trees are great for storage and display, and are available flat-packed.

Latex balloons are great for point-of-sale promotions, handouts and other displays. Available in a wide range of colours and sizes, most can be filled with air or helium. However, promotional balloons 9″ and below should be filled with air as they will not lift when inflated with helium. Minimum order quantity is 1,000 units, usually with a lead time of less than a week.

Metallic / foil balloons made from high quality Mylar have an integral self-sealing valve for helium filling. Ideal as promotional hand-outs at exhibitions and product launches, they are available in 18 inch round, heart or star shapes. For a lower cost option in larger quantities, you could go for 15 inch round foil balloons.

Helium Gas Cylinder Rental

Helium gas delivery can be arranged by your supplier. Helium is non-flammable, non-explosive and non-toxic, and is completely safe for use inside or outside.

Balloon gas cylinders come in three sizes. Your supplier will advise on what’s best depending on the number of promotional balloons you order. If you’re using helium gas regularly, it’s more convenient and cost effective to get an annual rental contract, which allows you to keep cylinders on site. They’ll be replaced on demand. Disposable cylinders, ideal for small displays and events, are also available.
