For almost 20 years, Virtual Reality – or simply ‘VR’ – has been touted as the next big thing in technology.  For a long time it looked as though the promise would remain unfulfilled, but in 2014 Google changed the game by releasing Cardboard, an inexpensive viewer that turned any smartphone into a VR headset.

This year VR headsets are predicted to be the must have retail gift for Christmas and there are over 1,000 compatible VR apps ready available for download.

For promotional purposes a branded VR headset is an ideal and inexpensive promotional tool; a robust and useful piece of kit which is likely to be kept to hand for some time.
