Spotlight On Promotional Christmas Jumpers

Love it or hate it…

… you can’t ignore the Christmas jumper!

Rather like Marmite, Christmas jumpers attract strong opinions. Some store a heap of them in the back of the clothes cupboard and are just itching for it to be sufficiently close to Christmas to be able to wear one; others live in fear that a shiny package stashed under the tree might reveal a garment with a red-nosed Rudolph or similar seasonal horror!

But love them or hate them there’s no doubt that festive jumpers have become rather cool, with a host of high-street retailers stocking them in the lead up to Christmas. High-end designer brands such as Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs and Ralph Lauren have stocked them too!

For many it all began with dashing Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) donning one in the movie Bridget Jones’s Diary, although purists would point us back further to the 1970s when the likes of Andy Williams and Bing Crosby wore the seasonal phenomenon as they crooned their way through Christmas TV shows.

But somehow Colin Firth gave the garment credence. And since then various celebs have been spotted wearing them with pride – Cheryl Cole, Katy Perry, Olly Murs, Harry Styles, Matt Damon, to name but few.

This year Arcadia have adding bespoke Christmas jumpers to their collection of promotional products. From under £16.00 each and with a minimum of 180 picies you can custom make your own company Christmas jumper, why not give your customers or employees a cool festive treat!

Having worked in Promotional Merchandise for the last 25 years I have been exposed to all aspects of the industry. Starting out as an account manager working with some of the worlds leading brands, I have learnt to understand the needs of a client, manufacturing processes, and what it takes to deliver a successful promotional campaign that is on brand, on time and within a given budget.
